Treasury Tuesday!

The Plushies have landed!! And they are taking over! AHHHHHHHHHHH lol cant you see that as being the caption here??

I just love seeing how personalities can come out in something handmade, specifically cute little stuffed plushies! These just made me giggle! I got this treasury in the west late last night, and had such fun putting it together! I tried to get the alternates seen too, even if they are a little washed out. of course now i am realizing if i had done this in the poster sketch you could have seen it better. but eh, i'm too lazy to go back and do that now! lol

It's hard resisting not buying them all up at this point! it all started when i was on the hunt for something cute with a bit of an attitude to send to a friend of mine who's really having a tough time. I wanted to find something unusual, but also something she could squeeze and hold onto. And, i was just finding all these amazing plushies! I just had to honor some in a treasury! Don't they just make you smile??

Oh and if you are wondering which one i settled on for my friend (seeing as i know she will never read this, its ok !) i ended up getting her this cute little guy called an Emotional! From Fluffyflowers shop! Isnt he cute??

Old World Romance

OK so i admit, i am about Boobed out here! After a month of working, promoting, making, promoting, creating, promoting, oh did i say promoting! lol the Breast Cancer Awareness Challenge, i decided that i would make a treasury just for me! Something totally non breast related, something totally not pink! So i did this one! I have to say i really love it! It was fun to make, and just such a contrasting difference from all the breast cancer awareness ones i have been doing for a month now. Now don't get me wrong, i loved doing them! I am so proud to have been a part of that contest, and so proud of all the etsians that took part, but it was just a nice change of pace for me! Plus i think all these sellers deserve to be in a treasury! i totally loved the feel they give off. Not quite Steampunk, Not quite Goth, Not quite Victorian. But, i think, a mesh of all three wrapped into one. Sometimes i feel as if i was born about 100 years too late!

Givin' A Hug Part 2

So about a week or so ago, i was reading a friends blog, thecozyloft, and she posted a new blog about this cute little plastic canvas framed poem entitled “Hug”. She thought it would be fun (and i have to agree) to share the Hug and pass it around. I was lucky enough to get to be the next recipient of this in a sense "virtual" hug, and recieved it in the mail just the other day! It really is quite sweet!
So the deal is, comment here if you want to be the next one to recieve it! All you have to do is enjoy it for no more than a month before you pass it on to someone else. In this day and age, we all need all the hugs we can get!

On Oct. 5th i will choose a random person who comments here to recieve this "Hug" and contact you to get your info. And, again all you have to do is pass it on to someone else! Kind of like a Pay it Forward!

Treasury Thursday!

So i managed to snag a Treasury last night! Seemed like i had been waiting, literally, days for the treasury to open up again! it was hanging at 333 forever!!! And, i was lucky, as you can see to get one along with some 600 others because it shot up to over 900 treasuries! As much as i love snagging one, i often think there should be a cap put on how many can be created. But anyway, that topic will be for another day! as i really just want to show this off! Its for all the wonderful items made for the Breast Cancer Awareness Challenge. New Line Of Cards!

Ok so yes i am continuing with the Breast Cancer Awareness Theme again today, as i have a bunch of new cards i want to show you all!

I made these cards for the Breast Cancer Awareness Challenge on Etsy (aka Boob Challenge). Come check us out Here. I wanted to do a couple of fun, whimsical cards, because in the depths of darkness, we often need to smile and laugh.

This First Card is the more serious one. Printed on the front is "United we Stand" and "For One Cause, For One Sister, For one Life". The inside is left blank except for the Pink Awareness ribbon, so you can write a personal message.

The other two i had more fun with! I thought we all need a little giggle. Printed on the front is "Bosom Buddies" The inside print reads: "Little Boobs. Skinny Boobs. Droopy Boobs, or no boobs at all, Friends we will always be!"

I really love this 3rd one. Printed on the front are the ever so famous Bosom Buddies duo, hanging pink bra off the letters, and instead of Bosom Buddies, they are now Bosom"less" Buddies. This is truly not meant to offend, but rather send a smile!

The inside print reads: "The boobs don't Always have it all! And, you can lean on this Boob anytime!"

The last item here, are actually post cards, like reminder cards. I think it shows a lot, to send a friend, sister, loved one this card to remind them, its never too early to get screened. It could safe a life! But, at the same time, i tried to keep humorous and light spirited. Yes, cancer is very serious. But as they say, laughter is the best medicine!

Printed on the front of the postcard: "October is National Squeeze a Boob Month. So, from one Boob to another.... Have you squeezed your Boob lately?" The backside is left blank so you can write a personal note, attach a stamp and mail it!

All sales i make from these cards will be donated to the Susan G Komen Foundation for Breast Cancer Research.

Treasury Tuesday!

Ok I hope you all arent getting sick of hearing about our Breast Cancer Challenge yet, because well, i want to get the word out! lol So Here's another post for ya!

Late late last night i managed to snag a treasury and dedicated it to all the awesome pieces people have made for the contest so far! But, the powers that be (etsy) i guess hiccuped and alllllll the treasuries that were made during that time were lost! :( including mine! It was such a good one too! But, i managed to get a treasury in Twest just now, and tried to recreate it as best as i could! i also included a few items i have found along the way that also fit our challenge.

THe entries are coming in daily! They are all amazing! We now have 50 shops officially signed up!!!! How cool is that! We really want this to be big! We want to raise a lot of awareness and a lot of money for such a good cause!

Breast Cancer Awareness Challenge Update!

So i just wanted to keep this going and post a bit of an update!

So far we are getting a huge response regarding our Breast Cancer Awareness Challenge/Contest! Yay!!!!

We have 31 shops signed up as of this morning! How about a big woot woot for them!! yay!!!

But i would love to see us get 50 shops signed up by the 20th!!! wouldnt that just be awesome!!

So don't be afraid, if you dont know what to make yet, well neither do it! but i'll come up with something!

Can be anything pink, with a pink ribbon, boob/breast/nipple related. Could be a drawing, something knitted, mixed media, we even have a pottery shop making a bust! it could be silly, it could be serious. Your entry can be anything you want it to be!

THe point is just to get awareness out there, and raise a lot of money for a really good cause!!! But of course, we hope to have a lot of fun in the meantime with it!

So please don't hesitate! Come join us here! All are welcome! You have til the 20th to make your item (or items)! so that still gives you 9 days!

We Challenge You!!

Ok Here we Go again! Who's ready to be challenged??

This time its for a good cause though! (Click here for official Thread)

Sarah (aka sarahinflorida) and myself want to challenge YOU to come up with something - handmade of course by you, that is Breast Cancer Awareness or Boob related in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness next month.

Here's the deal..... You must create something new (not already made or listed) that is appropriatly themed. It can be anything you want! (pasties, bras, maybe a nipple hat? or something pink, or with a pink ribbon on it!) But it must be made and listed by 5pm etsy time on September 20th. You may create more than one item for this challenge - but only one can be submitted for votes.

You also must agree, that if you sell your item (or items) that the proceeds are donated to the Susan G Komen Foundation for Breast Cancer Research.

This Challenge is not about winning this time, its about giving back! My mother is a breast cancer survivor, and i think most of us know a love one who has gone through this!

From September 20th, til noon Sunday September 28th, we will keep a thread going with all our entries, so people can come in and vote on them and hopefully support the cause and buy!

Everyone will be allowed 1 vote! However,for everyone of your items that sell you will get another 5 votes. (hope that makes sense) Because again, you can make more than one item for this challenge!

We do have a prize for the winner! A beautiful Pink Ribbon Pen in a lovely gift tin as well as a special one of a kind Pink Breast Cancer Survivor Throw a Fit Doll.

This is an open contest! Anyone and everyone is welcome to enter! There will be no cutoff, because this is for charity! So lets make it huge and get a lot of donations!

And The Winner Is!

Mootsie!!!! Congrats Mootsie!! She won our Super Spooky Halloween Challenge Contest!! Her entry was Estelle, the Halloween Witch! How cool is Estelle?? She won by a landslide! Totally unique, and couldn't be any more Halloween than this!

We also drew 1 name from all the voters to win a fun halloween prize! And Waterrose was the lucky winner! Congrats to Waterrose too!! Yay!!!

Thanks to all the wonderful people who participated! All 16 entries were spooky and marvelous and oh so halloweenie!!!! We had such fun and hope you all did too! Spooky Spectacular Halloween Contest!
