Give em Some Love Part 7

I decided at least twice a week i will spotlight shops who have had no sales (or only 1 or 2 sales) to give them a little time in the sun! They are all beautiful shops who deserve a little love! So i hope you come back and check out who i feature! You never know what favorite you might just discover!

Todays Feature is brand new! She just joined Etsy this month and i just love her shop name! Welcome FatFaceCreations! She creates lovely cards, bookmarks and gift tags from her own original photographs.

♥♥♥ How did you hear about Etsy and what made you decide to start selling here?

I found Etsy last year while looking for custom jewelry. Photography has always been a passion of mine and I recently decided to see if I could sell a few pieces and instantly thought Etsy would be the perfect place.

♥♥♥ What gives you inspiration to make your pieces?

My 16 month old daughter IS my inspiration. I currently have the privilege to stay at home with her full-time and watch her grow. Watching her grow from a tiny little infant into a little girl is something I cherish and would not trade for anything in this world.

♥♥♥ What is your one true Goal/Dream?

My goal is to be a good mom to my daughter and help her grow up to become a strong, amazing woman. My dream is to pursue my photography further and hopefully one day make it my career.

♥♥♥ If there was one celebrity you could see buying one of your pieces, who would it be?

One word - Oprah. Her "Favorite Things" show is one of my FAVORITE things to watch and I would love to be one of her favorites. (side note - wouldn't we all!! lol )

Also, She is offering a wonderful deal to her first buyer! To celebrate the opening of her new shop, the first person who buys anything in her shop and she will double your entire order. Purchase a set of note cards and get two for the price of one. Purchase two sets of note cards and get four for the price of two. And so on. - Now isn't that a great deal!!

Give em Some Love Part 6

Please meet Elizabeth at Shortysgourmettreats! She makes wonderful all natural gourmet pet treats for our little furry friends! How cool is that???!

♥♥♥ How Did you Find out about Etsy and Decide to start selling here?

I found out about etsy through my eldest daughter, Samantha. She runs her own shop, www.veryvintage.etsy.com on here and encouraged me to start my own business and shop and sell the treats that I have been making for my dogs for ages!

♥♥♥ What Inspires you?

My two dogs are my biggest inspiration. I have a long haired German Shepherd, Pokey, who is my baby! and a lab/golden mix named Sunny. I love my pets dearly, they are a huge part of our family and I wanted to make sure they had healthy, nourishing, yet tasty treats for them to eat!

♥♥♥ What is your one main Dream/Goal?

My main goal is to open my own little dog bakery boutique. I would love to have it all dogged out and would love to have repeat customers coming to my bakery to enjoy my treats. I would also love to have it be a quaint little boutique on the side, so owners could enjoy cute dog trinkets.

♥♥♥ What one celebrity would you just love to see buy your treats for their furry friend?

It would be the dog whisperer, Cesar Millan. It would be a great honor to me for him to actually feed his precious pets my gourmet treats. If he were to buy my treats, I would consider my shop and treats to have really made it and broken through! :)

I heard about etsy from ebay forum and start to sell here because i found the items is different and gorgeous, i found so many talented artist and i have to admit the community is very very nice and helpful :)

♥♥♥ What Inspires you?

- My inspiration is from everywhere, could be from television,megazine,or etsy sometimes my family too

♥♥♥ What is your one main Goal/Dream?

My goal is to make more lovely design and also maintain my shops so i could got sales everyday. I love doing online business it has no boundary and fun.

Nicole Kidman...she is amazing!

♥♥♥ How did you hear about Etsy and why did you decide to sell here?

I heard about Etsy from a few people first and then it was featured on my local news program.

♥♥♥ What inspires you?

I get inspired by all sorts of things. The material itself (shell, pearls, glass), the world around me, and my mood. I know a mood isn't really an inspiration, but in the long Wisconsin winters, I need something to cheer me up, and that's when I try to work on pieces that remind me of anything but winter.

♥♥♥ What celebrity would you just love to see wear one of your pieces?

Hmm.... Celebrity.... I would love for Kate Winslet to wear my jewelry.

Give Em Some Love Part 3

Meet Michelle at Mytwoseasons ! She is a scrapbooker and photographer who is offering professional quality photo editing & retouching, custom services, photo cards and announcements, premade scrapbook pages and albums, and prints of her photography.

♥♥♥ How did you hear about Etsy and what made you decide to start selling here?

I heard about it from my sister-in-law. She has a shop here with some really great things. I thought it would be fun to get my designs out there and possibly make some extra "fun money" for myself!

♥♥♥What gives you inspiration to make your pieces?

Color is probably the big inspiration for me. I LOVE color! I'm constantly looking at different color combinations and trying them out in my designs. I'm really into muted colors right now, currently evident in my shop! My two little girls constantly inspire me too. I'm always snapping pictures of them and thinking of different scrapbook layouts to put them in!

♥♥♥What is your one true Goal/Dream?

To be happy! I do things to make me happy.

♥♥♥If there was one celebrity you could see buying one of your pieces, who would it be?

I would love to design a baby announcement or scrapbook for someone like Jennifer Garner. She seems like a loving mom with cute kids!

Michelle has 2 little girls, i just love their names, Autumn and Summer who she says constantly inspires her! (Isn't that sweet! )

Give em Some Love Part 2

So Welcome GreenBead!! She makes beautiful jewelry. I love what she says in her bio - "I'm a rabid bead lover whose creations spill over into Etsy!" about sums it up huh! I think my favorite piece of hers is Tahoe (you can see it pictured at the bottom of this post).

♥♥♥ How did you hear about Etsy and what made you decide to start selling here?

I bumped into Etsy from surfing bead-maker blogs and fell in love with it. I love craft fairs, so Etsy was perfect! I decided to start selling because I love making beaded jewelry and Etsy seemed like the perfect outlet!

♥♥♥ What gives you inspiration to make your pieces?

Color, Color, Color. I am constantly inspired by color combinations, and the best part of making jewelry is playing with all the different fun combos you can use colors.

♥♥♥ What is your one true Goal/Dream?

Oh, of course I'd love to be able to sell jewelry for a living! That, and be able to buy unlimited beads :)

♥♥♥ If there was one celebrity you could see wearing one of your pieces, who would it be?

Drew Barrymore

Give em Some Love Part 1

So The first installment goes to Abrowender! She has just a lovely shop! Full of stunning photographs and Tee's. She is a highschool senior, surprisingly, who is already as i can tell overflowing with talent!

♥So how did you hear about Etsy and what made you decide to sign up here?

My sister, whom I fondly call 'Tinny' basically forced me to create an Etsy so I could promote my 'Mrs.O' print/tees. I also thought it would be fun to see what other artists had to offer, and I'm having a lovely time doing just that!

♥Where do you get your inspiration from?

I get inspiration from everything, but mostly basic geometric shapes. Despite the fact that I detest math, I usually break things down into simple structures subconsciously. If I like the idea, I'll try to translate it using some the most appropriate medium. Then, whatever happens... happens.

♥What is your one true Goal/Dream?

I aspire to work in Major League Baseball for the Milwaukee Brewers baseball club... some part of the organization that reaches out into the community.

♥What one celebrity would you love to see buy one of your items?

Either Michelle Obama or Clint Eastwood. Vastly different people, I know, but both have inspired me in countless ways.

Gearing Up for Another Contest!

Yep, you guessed it! My cohort and I are back at it again! We figured a month was enough time to recoup from our last contest! So now on to Valentine's Day! We wanted to make sure we gave everyone who wants to play along lots of time to create! and still enough time to sell their item(s) afterward!

So the Valentine's Contest will have two categories! The traditional Valentine's Day Items and then the Not So Traditional (or Anti) Valentine's Day items. You can submit in either category, and there will be one winner from each. The prizes are still being figured out - but be assured they will be great!

You will have til Sunday, January 11th, at 5pm to sign up for the Contest. Then you will have two weeks to create! You need to list your entries in your shop by midnight January 23rd for voting to begin. Voting will be done by hearts again - so the more hearts your item gets, the better shot it has at winning!

Then Voting will end the following Friday night, January 30th, at 5pm, when the winners will be announced!

Please remember to put your entries on Reserve for the contest! If they sell, there's no way to heart it!

Also anyone wanting to donate a prize to be won during the contest time, please let me, or sarah (aka sarahinflorida) know! Its a lot of fun and a great way to bring some notice to your shop!

Late Night Treasury Tuesday

No 2 Alike

So i waited along with apparently over 1000 others tonight to snag a treasury! And i dont know how, but i managed to get one! So did 1033 others!!!! omg! how did we not break it!!! I bet admin will have a heart attack when they see that!! lol So just for a lil fun, here are my alternates! It's fun to give them their 5 minutes of sun, when usually no one gets to see them!
