Tell us a bit about yourself:
Hello! My name is Charlotte and I adore creating pieces using natural items like whole spices, dried flowers, or anything from nature. I combine these with repurposed/recycled items creating something beautiful, harmonious and one of a kind. I try to design items that are useful, beautiful, and serve a purpose. I am excited to bring you my little store and items that have been lovingly made for you!
When did you start selling on etsy and what made you join?
I started selling in March of 2011, and I just wanted to share my designs more than at local craft fairs. I was excited at being able to pursue my passion of crafting while providing a little extra income for my family.
How did you come up with your shop name?
I did lots of brainstorming with family and friends and other business owners......I wanted something that had "spice" in it but also conveyed a sense of nature.
What is your favorite item you sell in your shop?
This changes day to day, but right now I'd have to say my topiaries are probably my favorite as each one is so unique from all the others.
What is something you'd buy on etsy if money was no issue?
Some of the amazing furniture that I've seen!!!
What do you think is the best part about selling/making handmade items?
Looking at a design and knowing that I made it and am responsible for all of it!!
What is your favorite material to work with?
I LOVE working with recycled materials and turning them into art by re-purposing them and decorating them with spices. I also love all of the spices I get to handle. My craft space smells soooo yummy!!
What one skill do you wish you were better at, or could do?
I would like to learn to crochet.
What is your favorite Snack?
Anything salty.

For many years I trained horses for a living!
