Treasury Thursday!

So i managed to snag a Treasury last night! Seemed like i had been waiting, literally, days for the treasury to open up again! it was hanging at 333 forever!!! And, i was lucky, as you can see to get one along with some 600 others because it shot up to over 900 treasuries! As much as i love snagging one, i often think there should be a cap put on how many can be created. But anyway, that topic will be for another day! as i really just want to show this off! Its for all the wonderful items made for the Breast Cancer Awareness Challenge. The entries for our Breast Cancer Awareness Challenge (aka Boob Contest) are coming in Fast! The deadline isn't until the 20th, but already people are listing theirs like crazy! we have also already made $85 to go towards the Susan G Komen Foundation!! New Line Of Cards!

Ok so yes i am continuing with the Breast Cancer Awareness Theme again today, as i have a bunch of new cards i want to show you all!

I made these cards for the Breast Cancer Awareness Challenge on Etsy (aka Boob Challenge). Come check us out Here. I wanted to do a couple of fun, whimsical cards, because in the depths of darkness, we often need to smile and laugh.



This First Card is the more serious one. Printed on the front is "United we Stand" and "For One Cause, For One Sister, For one Life". The inside is left blank except for the Pink Awareness ribbon, so you can write a personal message.


The other two i had more fun with! I thought we all need a little giggle. Printed on the front is "Bosom Buddies" The inside print reads: "Little Boobs. Skinny Boobs. Droopy Boobs, or no boobs at all, Friends we will always be!"


I really love this 3rd one. Printed on the front are the ever so famous Bosom Buddies duo, hanging pink bra off the letters, and instead of Bosom Buddies, they are now Bosom"less" Buddies. This is truly not meant to offend, but rather send a smile!

The inside print reads: "The boobs don't Always have it all! And, you can lean on this Boob anytime!"

The last item here, are actually post cards, like reminder cards. I think it shows a lot, to send a friend, sister, loved one this card to remind them, its never too early to get screened. It could safe a life! But, at the same time, i tried to keep humorous and light spirited. Yes, cancer is very serious. But as they say, laughter is the best medicine!

Printed on the front of the postcard: "October is National Squeeze a Boob Month. So, from one Boob to another.... Have you squeezed your Boob lately?" The backside is left blank so you can write a personal note, attach a stamp and mail it!

All sales i make from these cards will be donated to the Susan G Komen Foundation for Breast Cancer Research.

Treasury Tuesday!

Ok I hope you all arent getting sick of hearing about our Breast Cancer Challenge yet, because well, i want to get the word out! lol So Here's another post for ya!

Late late last night i managed to snag a treasury and dedicated it to all the awesome pieces people have made for the contest so far! But, the powers that be (etsy) i guess hiccuped and alllllll the treasuries that were made during that time were lost! :( including mine! It was such a good one too! But, i managed to get a treasury in Twest just now, and tried to recreate it as best as i could! i also included a few items i have found along the way that also fit our challenge.

THe entries are coming in daily! They are all amazing! We now have 50 shops officially signed up!!!! How cool is that! We really want this to be big! We want to raise a lot of awareness and a lot of money for such a good cause!

We Challenge You!!

Ok Here we Go again! Who's ready to be challenged??

This time its for a good cause though! (Click here for official Thread)

Sarah (aka sarahinflorida) and myself want to challenge YOU to come up with something - handmade of course by you, that is Breast Cancer Awareness or Boob related in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness next month.

Here's the deal..... You must create something new (not already made or listed) that is appropriatly themed. It can be anything you want! (pasties, bras, maybe a nipple hat? or something pink, or with a pink ribbon on it!) But it must be made and listed by 5pm etsy time on September 20th. You may create more than one item for this challenge - but only one can be submitted for votes.

You also must agree, that if you sell your item (or items) that the proceeds are donated to the Susan G Komen Foundation for Breast Cancer Research.

This Challenge is not about winning this time, its about giving back! My mother is a breast cancer survivor, and i think most of us know a love one who has gone through this!

From September 20th, til noon Sunday September 28th, we will keep a thread going with all our entries, so people can come in and vote on them and hopefully support the cause and buy!

Everyone will be allowed 1 vote! However,for everyone of your items that sell you will get another 5 votes. (hope that makes sense) Because again, you can make more than one item for this challenge!

We do have a prize for the winner! A beautiful Pink Ribbon Pen in a lovely gift tin as well as a special one of a kind Pink Breast Cancer Survivor Throw a Fit Doll.

This is an open contest! Anyone and everyone is welcome to enter! There will be no cutoff, because this is for charity! So lets make it huge and get a lot of donations!
